have this little dad-son doodle I did to check if my watercolor paper has already expired or not
This art is old but saw a few people surprised that the paper can expire since last year, and I’d like to say, yes, kind of? IIRC it either has to be reeeeeeaaally old or not stored properly (which in my case i suspected this cuz the whole shelf where i kept my art stuff was getting moldy :( so i thought humidity prob got to the paper but good thing it didn’t ✨)
I don’t think it happens often tbh, especially with the high-quality ones. I even saw someone said they kept Arches for decades and it’s still fine 🤔 But it happens to me before, you’ll see how the colors you painted are uneven, maybe the paper goes more blotchy than normal, etc. Just keep your watercolor paper in a cold and dry place and it’ll be fine!
i think anytime you decide to send someone a totally blinkered or callous message online there should be this new thing instead of a captcha called “would u say this to a stranger at a bus stop?” with a 2 min waiting time AT LEAST. if the answer is no, but you decide to send anyway then a comically large boxing glove shoots out of ur screen and socks u square on the nose.
